However, there are ways to survive the weather and keep our spirits high, or just in a surviving mode.
First, it's important to embrace the life finding activities that can be enjoyed in any condition, outdoor or indoor.
Whether it's biking, running, or just taking a walk, getting outside and getting some fresh air can do wonders for our mood and energy levels.
Even in a cloudy day, the photons that you can absorb outside are irreplaceable, most of all, are necessary for generate the hormones for to get sleep.
Indoor activities can also be a great way to combat the weather-related blues. Visiting museums, reading, trying to learn something, or pursuing a hobby can keep our minds engaged and provide a sense of accomplishment.
Additionally, the Danish concept of hygge, or coziness, can be embraced by creating a warm and inviting atmosphere at home with loved ones, good food and drinks.
Self-care is crucial in coping with the weather. Make sure to get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise regularly. This can help to improve overall physical and mental well-being.
Other important factor is to get the basic micronutrients, in a regular way, like vitamin D, C , magnesium to absorb it, probiotics and spirulina, chia or maca as a great source of natural suplements.
Another key, is to stay connected with friends and loved ones. Joining a club or sports team, taking a class, or volunteering, can provide opportunities to meet new people and form social connections.
Surviving the often cold and grey weather in Denmark can be a challenge, but by embracing the weather, finding indoor and outdoor activities that you enjoy, practicing self-care, seeking social support or in the extremes cases seeking professional help if needed, you can maintain a good mood and energy throughout the year.
