The sea and the beach are the main players in the Danish landscape. Denmark is an island, more precisely, a group of islands, so it is inevitably surrounded by water all along.
It is a flat country, without great elevations, without mountains or mountains.
For this reason, the most beautiful places are by the sea.
I will share with you my 3 favorite natural sites in Denmark.
"Rubjerg Knude Fyr"; In NordJylland, it is an amazing coastal area to visit.
The path to the lighthouse is beautiful, with a landscape that mixes the green of the countryside with the yellow of the dunes.
The beach next to the lighthouse has a great height concerning the sea, there is a kind of cliff, which gives magnificent views of the sea.
Near this area, "Råbjerg Mile", my second favorite coastal area in Nordjylland.
The landscape is a desert by the sea.
It is a huge hiking dune, which gives you the feeling of not being able to finish it.
Råbjerg Mile, a natural accident that originated not long ago, just 300 years ago.
An unmissable place to visit, I highly recommend it.
"Møns Klint", on the island of Møn, is my third favorite natural site in Denmark, although not least.
It is located 128 meters above sea level. Therefore, it has one of the most beautiful views in the country.
A unique natural environment, considered by UNESCO as a protected biosphere, with a huge variety of plant species, and animals as well.
A magnificent place to visit, with an inspiring view, and many options of different activities to practice around.
To go down to the beach, you will find a long staircase, so it is not recommended for families with small children.
Even being a difficult road, it is very worth doing.
Biking, canoeing, diving, are some of the activities to practice in this place. My favorite is sleeping by the sea under the stars.
